Sheriff’s office seeks information after woman is shot while driving in York County

York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office investigators ask asking the public for information after a woman was shot on East Rochambeau Drive.

Deputies were dispatched around 2:20 a.m. Thursday to a shooting in the 500 block of East Rochambeau Drive, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.

Authorities believe the woman was traveling east on East Rochambeau Drive when a vehicle approached her car from behind and began shooting into the car.

The vehicle is described as a light-colored sedan.

The woman was taken to a local hospital after the incident. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said.
