If you are a James City County resident and you haven’t paid your personal property or real estate tax bill yet, you may want to before Tuesday.
James City County’s tax payment deadline is Tuesday (June 5), the county said in a news release.
The deadline comes several days after the Williamsburg’s June 1 real-estate tax bill deadline.
Tax bills have previously been mailed to county residents, the county said. Those who did not receive paper bills still need to pay their taxes by Tuesday.
Those who have not received a paper bill need to contact the James City County treasurer’s office at 757-253-6705.
Payments by mail will be processed by James City County’s bank lockbox service in Baltimore.
Tax bills can also be paid via the James City County online bill payment system. All credit and debit card transactions are subject to a convenience fee of 2.95 percent.
For those who live in York County, semi-annual personal property and real estate tax bills are due by June 25 and Dec. 5, the county website said.
Williamsburg real-estate taxes are due twice a year, on June 1 and Dec. 1. Personal property taxes are due once a year on Dec. 1.
