VIRGINIA BEACH — Southside Daily has partnered with the city’s police department and the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers to raise awareness about persons of interest in the city.

Information from tipsters is shared with police, but remains completely anonymous — no identifying information of sources is ever disclosed and the anonymity of Crime Solvers’ tipsters is protected by state law.
This week, the Virginia Beach Police needs assistance in identifying the people in the following cases:
- On Feb. 28, the man and woman pictured below were leaving the Lowe’s on Holland Road, when the man became angry about something he saw on a vehicle in the parking lot; he then kicked and broke the fog lamps on the vehicle and left, police said.
- On March 3 at 11:25 am, the man in the photo below entered the Oceans East Bait and Tackle Shop on Northampton Boulevard. He grabbed Shimano brand fishing reels from the store display, along with a shirt and sweatshirt. The man then hid the items under his clothing and left the store without paying for anything, police said.
- On March 3 at 6:30 pm, this man entered the Walmart on First Colonial Road, in the Hilltop Square Shopping Center. He took a backpack off a rack and filled it with merchandise from the store, and also took items from the shelves and hid them in his jacket. Police said the man tried to leave the store without paying, but store security personnel saw the suspect and tried to stop him. The suspect ran from the store and when he saw security following him, he dropped the backpack, police said.
- On May 6, the woman pictured below went to the second floor of the Hilton Garden Inn on Atlantic Avenue. There was a wedding reception there and police said the woman took gift envelopes off the gift table, placed them in one of her bags and left. Police said the woman was not known by anyone in the wedding.
