JAMES CITY — A soggy forecast already has washed out a pair of weekend events in James City County.
The Family Fun Fest scheduled for Saturday (May 19) at Chickahominy Riverfront Park has been canceled and will not be rescheduled this year, James City County Parks and Recreation said Wednesday.
The shred-a-thon at the Williamsburg/James City County Courthouse, also planned for Saturday, has been postponed until July 28, James City County Police said.
Heavy rain is possible throughout the weekend, according to the National Weather Service, with a 70 percent chance of showers on Saturday.
