NORFOLK — A Portsmouth man has been arrested on charges stemming from a shooting that left another man dead Tuesday afternoon.
Melvin Bazemore Jr., 20, is charged with concealing a dead body and obstruction of justice.
Bazemore is being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
Breon Daughtry, 43, was found shot inside an apartment in the 5500 block of East Virginia Beach Boulevard around 2:39 p.m. Tuesday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Norfolk Police detectives classified the case as an “isolated incident.” They have not released information about a motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
