The York Veterinary Hospital is beginning an expansion and renovation.

Dr. Anita Weidinger and her staff were joined by York County officials last week to celebrate the groundbreaking for the York Veterinary Hospital’s expansion, according to a press release.

The undertaking will make the veterinary hospital nearly 1,500 square feet larger. That means more exam rooms, more treatment space and a larger lobby.

More parking and access points are also being added.

The expansion was paid for by a $50,000 grant from the York County Economic Development Authority.

The York Veterinary Hospital is at 4628 George Washington Highway in Yorktown.
