JAMES CITY — Greater Williamsburg residents who don’t have room for their kayaks, canoes or paddle boards at home have a new storage option thanks to James City County.

The county is offering monthly and annual paddle-craft storage on outdoor wooden racks at the following locations.

Jamestown Beach Event Park, 2205 Jamestown Road.

James City County Marina, 2054 Jamestown Road.

Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Highway.

Little Creek Reservoir Park, 180 Lakeview Drive.

Each space is designed for a single paddle craft, and renters may choose any available space on the racks. Owners are responsible for securing their own craft.

Each space rents for $15 per month or $150 per year for James City County and Williamsburg residents and $23 per month or $225 per year for nonresidents.
