Concerned Veterans for America will host Brews and Battle Stories on May 14.

Brews, battlefields and storytelling doesn’t really sound like your average night out.

Hampton Roads is renowned for its military and veteran community. That’s why Concerned Veterans for America organized an event: Brews and Battle Stories.

When service members come home, they might have their own unique story to tell. Perhaps they’ve gained a lifetime of wisdom and experience to share with families, friends, and the community. Maybe they’re eager to share these stories over a good brew?

During the event, local veterans will be discussing their own histories, knowledge, and lessons learned through military life.

No matter their story, every veteran has something to tell, organizers say.

Attendance is free and the event will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. May 14 at Commonwealth Brewing Co. in Virginia Beach.
