VIRGINIA BEACH — In March, Green Flash brewery in Virginia Beach closed and put its brewing equipment up for sale.
That equipment has been bought by Atlanta-based New Realm Brewing Company, according to a company representative.
New Realm is currently exploring options for the location of the equipment and a potential new taproom, according to a news release from the company.
It has not been confirmed whether that new taproom will be located in Virginia Beach.

The head of the New Realm viewed Green Flash’s demise as a chance for growth.
“This equipment presents an incredible opportunity to expand our capacity in a meaningful way while staying committed to our roots,” said Carey Falcone, CEO and co-founder of New Realm.
New Realm Brewing Company is an American craft brewery started in 2016 by co-founders Carey Falcone, Bob Powers and Mitch Steele and headquartered in Atlanta.
New Realm beers are currently only available in Georgia; at its Beltline brewery and restaurant, as well as bars throughout Atlanta and select retail locations in the state.
