If you’re planning a “fun in the sun” weekend, better take into consideration some weather headed to the area.

Indeed the National Weather Service is predicting some pretty high temperatures over the weekend, said Max Scalora, a meteorologist at NWS. But the area will also be encountering some rain and partly cloudy skies.

“On Saturday, we are looking at some pretty dry weather with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s,” Scalora said. “But Sunday is looking slightly different.”

There is a 40-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms for Sunday,  according to an online weather report. The chances of heavier rainfall are higher in the evening.

Sunday calls for a high of 81 degrees, with an overnight low of 63.
