NORFOLK — Police are piecing together the circumstances leading up to a shooting that left a man dead Wednesday night.
So far, police have not released any suspect information, or motive for the killing, citing an open investigation. The identity of the shooting victim also was not released.
Officers were sent to investigate a “gunshot disturbance” shortly after 9:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Nicholson Street.
There, police found a man “suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.” He was pronounced dead at the scene.
