Library visitors will soon get the chance to review their experience and suggest improvements.

The York County Public Library is conducting a public survey to determine community satisfaction with, and opinion of, the library, according to a press release.

The survey begins Monday and will remain open through the end of May. Participants will be eligible to win a Kindle Fire through a drawing.

Residents will be asked to share the opinion of the library’s services, collections, programs and facilities, as well as their expectations for each.

“We are interested in learning how citizens view the evolving role of the public library in the community,” said Kevin Smith, director of Library Services. “The data collected will help us develop a new Strategic Plan for the libraries and move forward with services that will make the maximum impact in our community.”

The survey is open to all of the library’s visitors and takes less than five minutes to complete.

In addition to the library’s online survey, paper copies will be available at the public service desks of both the Tabb and Yorktown libraries.
