Update Sunday 10 a.m.: Police have made an arrest in connection with a Saturday morning shooting.
Rakeem Malik Turner, 18, was taken into custody before 1 a.m. Sunday at his York County residence, according to Williamsburg Police spokesman Maj. Greg Riley. The arrest was made without incident, and the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.
Turner was charged with two felonies, discharging a firearm in public resulting in an injury and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon, brandishing a firearm and destruction of property, which are misdemeanors.

It happened at 12:40 a.m. Saturday morning near the intersection of Richmond and Bypass Roads.
Officers say an argument started between two people, then a third person stepped in to assist someone in the fight. Police say it was that third person who pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and began to shoot.
A nearby unoccupied vehicle was struck, however Williamsburg Police spokesman Maj. Greg Riley wrote in an email that no one was injured.
