NORFOLK — Police have identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car while crossing West Little Creek Road Tuesday night as Sean K. Spratling.
Authorities said the 29-year-old lived in the 7600 block of Sheryl Drive in Norfolk.
Spratling was walking in or near the crosswalk in the 400 block West Little Creek Road around 7:49 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling Westbound, according to a Norfolk Police news release.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was not injured.
The investigation being conducted by the Norfolk Police Traffic Fatality Team remains open. They will submit their findings to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office “for determination of charges.”
There were no other vehicles involved and no other injuries were reported.
