Locals will have a chance to beautify their community.
The James City County Clean County Commission is hosting its 40th annual Countywide Spring Cleanup from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 14 at the Jolly Pond Transfer Station.
During the all day event, volunteers will pickup trash at various areas around the county. Over 400 James City County residents participated in last year’s event.
Following the cleanup will be a picnic, according to a county news release.
