Dogs will descend on Jamestown Beach Event Park on St. Paddy’s Day.
Fido Fest will make its debut Saturday, March 17 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to a press release from James City County. The event is presented by the county’s Parks and Recreation Department.
People and dogs who attend can join in family-and-pet-friendly games and activities.
Dogs and their owners can participate in the Fido Fashion show, with several categories- Best Couple, Funniest, Best Overall and Most Creative.
Other contests include Best Trick and Dog Photo Contest. Photos of dogs for the contest can be submitted to parks.rec@jamescitycountyva.gov by March 14.
Voting will be done onsite and winners will be announced at Fido Fest.
Admission is $5 for each car and food will be sold on site. Pets and children must be accompanied by an adult.
