UPDATE: Body of missing man found in Tabb area

Update 1 p.m. Friday: The body of a missing York County man was found Friday after he was reported missing two days earlier.

The body of Mark Davis was found near his house in Tabb around noon Friday, according to a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

Next of kin has been notified.

The sheriff’s office is not looking for any suspects in connection with his death, the post.

We would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Davis,” the post reads.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who went missing from the Coventry section of Tabb.

Mark Davis was last seen in the Coventry area Wednesday morning, according to a sheriff’s office Facebook post.

His disappearance has been classified as a missing persons case.

Authorities do not have a description of what Davis was wearing when he went missing, but his vehicle was left at his residence, the post said.

Anyone who has seen Davis in the last 24 hours is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 757-890-3621.

The sheriff’s office said there was no further information around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
