Police seek man who stole three bottles of alcohol from Lightfoot ABC store (Video)

James City County Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man who stole liquor from an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store over a month ago.

An unknown man entered the ABC store, located in Lightfoot Martketplace, around 1:15 p.m. Jan. 28, according to a county news release.

The man “concealed” three bottles from a shelf and left, possibly in a red Jeep Cherokee, according to police.

The incident was recorded on the store’s surveillance system. The video released by police shows the man taking two bottles off a shelf, looking around, then moving to put them in his pockets.

Anyone able to able to identify the individual in the video or who knows anything about the incident should contact Officer Hancock with the James City County Police Department at 757-253-1800 or email tyler.hancock@jamescitycountyva.gov.

Those with information may also contact the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to the Crime Line may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
