Eastern Virginia has seen two fairly strong snowstorms so far in 2018, but snow forecast for Tuesday morning isn’t likely to measure up.
Williamsburg could see less than an inch of snow between 7 a.m. and noon Tuesday, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Sammler said.
Snow is expected to accumulate mostly in grassy areas, and not as much on roads, he added.
“Unless it snows really hard, there’s really no chance for accumulation,” Sammler said.
Temperatures will hover around 32 degrees through most of the morning, warming a couple degrees in the afternoon once the clouds begin to clear.
Williamsburg may even see some sun Tuesday afternoon.
Ice or slippery roads are unlikely, as the weather has been warm and will warm up after the snow clears, Sammler said.
Temperatures will be between 40 and 45 degrees Wednesday, and in the low- to mid-50s Thursday.
