Year in review: Most-read stories of 2017

Although the year is not quite over, WYDaily has put together a list of the most-read and discussed stories of 2017.

From Tom Power’s death while on vacation in Bermuda to the TV series “Jamestown,” from an IED planted in Colonial Williamsburg to a knight’s tombstone at Jamestown, these stories cover a range of issues and  institutions. Some of the stories are about ongoing court cases and proceedings, meaning the accused have not been convicted at the time of this article. The stories are listed in order of popularity.

Sarah Fearing is the Assistant Editor at WYDaily. Sarah was born in the state of Maine, grew up along the coast, and attended college at the University of Maine at Orono. Sarah left Maine in October 2015 when she was offered a job at a newspaper in West Point, Va. Courts, crime, public safety and civil rights are among Sarah’s favorite topics to cover.
