York County Fire & Life Safety crews were called to a duplex in the Coventry subdivision after a garage fire broke out Saturday night.

Fire crews were called to the residence on Ferguson Bend in the Ferguson Glade section of the subdivision around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a fire & life safety news release.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the garage then ‘quickly’ extinguished the fire, the release said.

The fire was contained to where it originated in the garage, and the three residents had left the building before fire crews arrived.

The damage from the fire did not spread into the main living area of the house or to the adjacent residence, the release said.

The family was not displaced by the fire and there were no injuries, the release said.

Langley Air Force Base Fire Department also responded and assisted with the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
