Thanksgiving is Nov. 23 this year, so before you bring your recycling to the curb or head to a local park, check this handy list.
By Monday, everything should be back to normal. At least until Christmas, that is.
James City County
County offices will be closed on Nov. 23 and 24.
The James City County Recreation Center and Abram Frink Jr. Community Center will be closed on Nov. 23.
The Convenience Centers and Garbage Transfer Station will be closed on Nov. 23.
Curbside recycling will be shifted back one day. The Thursday pickup is moved to Friday, and the Friday pickup is moved to Saturday.
James City County libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 22, and will be closed all day on Nov. 23 and 24.
The Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse will close at noon on Nov. 22 and will reopen for normal hours on Nov. 27.
All of the county parks are open. However, some parks have stores or offices that will be closed. The Freedom Park Store/office will be closed on Nov. 23 and both the Chickahominy Riverfront Park Store and the James City County Marina Store will be closed on Nov. 23 and 24.
Williamsburg
City offices will be closed on Nov. 24 and 25.
Waller Mill Park will be closed on Nov 24 only. The park will reopen for normal hours on Friday.
The Quarterpath Recreation Center will close at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 and will reopen for normal hours on Nov. 25.
The Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse will close at noon on Nov. 22 and will reopen for normal hours on Nov. 27.
The Williamsburg Regional Library will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 22 and will reopen for normal hours on Nov. 25.
There will be no changes to the trash or recycling collection schedule.

York County
York County public libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 22.
The York County Courthouse will close at noon on Nov. 22.
The Virginia Cooperative Extension will close at noon on Nov. 22.
County offices that will be closed on Nov. 23 and 24 include: County government offices, York County Public Libraries, York-Poquoson Social Services, Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Waste Management Center Administration.
All York County Waste Management operations will be closed on Nov. 23. Garbage and the recycling collections that are normally scheduled for that day will be collected on Nov. 24.
The Goodwin Neck Transfer Station and citizen drop off for recycling and garbage will follow normal hours Nov. 24-25. For more information on garbage and recycling collection schedule call 757-890-3780.
