VIRGINIA BEACH – If you’re looking for some family-friendly holiday fun after Thanksgiving, look no further.
This year’s Planes, Trains & Santa show kicks off on Friday.
Starting at 9 a.m., guests can check out model trains and vintage planes while they wait for Santa’s arrival at 11 a.m. For train enthusiasts, there will be a hands-on track to operate and a train built entirely from LEGOs.
Santa will host meet-and-greets all weekend, as the event runs daily through 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Guests who prefer planes over trains can check out the extensive collection of WWI and WWII aircraft and fire engines from the Independent Fire Company. The Girl Scouts and the Great Atlantic Rescue Dogs will also be on site.
Donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots will be accepted at the show throughout the weekend as well.
More information about the event can be found online.
