Police: Search underway for armed Virginia Beach bank robber

VIRGINIA BEACH — Virginia Beach police are searching for a man they believe robbed two banks in October and November.

The first robbery happened at a Wells Fargo located at 675 Lynnhaven Parkway on Oct. 16. An armed man came into the bank shortly after 3 p.m. and stole money before fleeing toward the Walmart on Phoenix Drive, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.

The second robbery happened three weeks later at a Bank of America located at 210 Laskin Road. An armed man wearing a mask came into the bank on Nov. 6 around 2 p.m. and stole money before fleeing, according to the VBPD.

Police are describing the man as being between 5-feet-9-inches and 6-feet tall. They believe he between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. Anyone with information on these robberies should call the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
