Busch Gardens opened its gates to WYDaily Tuesday for a sneak peak as the park prepares for its annual Christmas celebration, Christmas Town.
The park’s Christmas celebration starts Nov. 24 and runs on select days through Jan. 1, 2018. This year, Christmas Town will feature more lights than ever — more than 8 million across the park — giving Christmas Town the most lights of any holiday event in North America, according to a recent press release from the park.
In addition to lights, the park is redecorated during Christmas Town, with Santas, Christmas trees, wreaths and more lining the park among its holiday-themed attractions. Children will be able to visit Santa at the North Pole, and all guests can enjoy the park’s six shows or an all-you-can-eat buffet at Dasher’s Diner.
More than 20 of the park’s rides, including roller coasters Verbolten and InvadR, will be open during Christmas Town.
Busch Gardens will be open from 2-10 p.m. on regularly scheduled Christmas Town operating days. Tickets can be purchased at the Busch Gardens website.
