Norfolk police: 2 men injured in Spruce Street shooting

NORFOLK — Two men were shot and injured in Norfolk on Friday afternoon, police say.

Police believe both men were shot in the 1500 block of Spruce Street. They found a man shot several times in that area around 4:15 p.m., and took him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Fifteen minutes later, another man who’d been shot was found at Larkin Street and Kennon Avenue was taken to the same hospital by emergency responders, according to the Norfolk Police Department.

The first man had serious injuries, but the second man is expected to be okay, police said.

Police think that the second man fled Spruce Street before they arrived.

Anyone with information on the shooting should call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
