The James City County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in their search for a wanted person.
Derek Rico Jones, 30, of James City County, is wanted for assault and malicious wounding on Sept. 6, according to James City County’s Facebook page.
The victim was a woman known to Jones, according to police spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.
Williams said Jones allegedly pushed the woman to the ground and kicked her. She suffered a broken arm and scratches, she said.
Jones’ last known address is on Benjamin Court.
