Virginia Beach police ask for public’s help solving three alleged thefts

VIRGINIA BEACH — The Virginia Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help to solve three unrelated cases of theft that allegedly happened in June.

The first happened on June 22 at the Walmart located at 2021 Lynnhaven Parkway. Police say that around 5:30 p.m. a man went into the store and stole at least two Google home devices from the electronics section. Authorities believe he took the electronics to another section of the store and put them into Walmart-labeled grocery bags that he’d brought with him.

According to the VBPD, he came back to the store the next day and stole more Google home devices in the same way.

On June 25, a woman shopping at the Virginia ABC store located at 862 Lynnhaven Parkway allegedly stole a bottle of Grenadine after she bought a bottle of alcohol. The woman is described by police as being between 40 and 50 years old, thin and standing between five-feet-two-inches and five-feet-three inches, according to the VBPD.

Police are also looking for a man who allegedly stole a black 3G beach cruiser from a bike rack located at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, located at 3001 Atlantic Avenue. The alleged theft happened at 6:45 a.m. on June 27, according to the VBPD.

Anyone with information about these alleged thefts should call the Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
