Police are looking for a man who they believe exposed himself to a York Middle School employee and student Monday morning before school.

A York-Poquoson Sheriff’s office deputy responded to York Middle School, near the football field, around 7:23 a.m. Monday after a student and employee said a man in pajamas approached them and displayed his genitals, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shelley Ward said.

The school employee and student were not together, but were walking in the same area of school property, Ward said.

The deputy who arrived on scene spotted a man matching the man’s description, but lost sight of him after turning his car around and getting out on foot, Ward said.

No witnesses in the area recalled seeing a man matching the description, police said.

The man is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years old and between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt and pajama pants.

The incident is still under investigation.

Anyone who can help locate this individual or has information on the incident should call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or the FB TIP LINE at 757-890-4999.
