Police are searching for a man they believe threw a napkin holder at the head of another man who was being thrown out of a Williamsburg bar.

Williamsburg Police responded to a report of an assault at Brickhouse Tavern Saturday around 1 a.m., according to police spokesman Maj. Greg Riley.

The victim told police he was being escorted out of the bar when a man threw a napkin holder that struck him in the head. He said he did not know the man who threw the object.

The victim did not receive injuries that required medical attention, Riley said. The victim was being escorted out of the bar for trying to leave with an alcoholic beverage.

The suspect was described as bald, muscular black man who was wearing a polo shirt at the time of the alleged assault.

Police ask anyone who can help identify the man to call 757-220-2331, or to do so anonymously at 1-888-Lock-U-Up.
