Police: Pair scam Sunglass Hut to buy, then resell shades

Police are asking the public’s help identifying two suspects wanted for using counterfeit bills to buy hundreds of dollars worth of sunglasses. 

According to a James City County Police Department news release, the two suspects entered a Sunglass Hut inside the Williamsburg Premium Outlets on Aug. 11 and purchased several hundred dollars of sunglasses using counterfeit $50 and $100 bills. 

Later that day, the pair took the recently purchased sunglasses to Sunglass Hut stores in Chesterfield and Newport News and returned the merchandise for cash.
