VIRGINIA BEACH — The city announced Tuesday afternoon that a technology firm’s corporate headquarters will be moving to a larger location and adding more jobs.
G2 Ops, Inc. relocated from 205 Business Park Drive to 2829 Guardian Lane, expanding to a spot that is more than twice the size of the previous facility.
The small, woman- and minority-owned business offers services in the areas of cybersecurity, systems engineering, consulting and more.
“As our cybersecurity and model-based systems engineering workforce grows, we look forward to continuing our work alongside the City of Virginia Beach and increasing the number of high-tech employment opportunities for its residents,” Tracy Gregorio, G2 Ops president, said in a press release.
The company employs 15 people in the city, but with the relocation and expansion, 10 new jobs will be added to its workforce with average salaries of $65,000.
The city has allocated $2,500 in grant funding for each new position created for a maximum investment of $25,000.
G2 Ops will also invest $446,000 for the relocation and expansion.
“They actively support our efforts to diversify the economy, especially with our growing cybersecurity sector. Being successful requires having innovators and creators of all sizes creating more opportunities for our local talent to find great careers here in Virginia Beach, and G2 Ops fits that role,” said Virginia Beach Economic Development Director Warren D. Harris in a press release.
