Colonial Williamsburg is offering discounted single-day tickets through Aug. 31 as part of a “Bring a Friend” program, according to a Colonial Williamsburg news release.

Visitors with annual, collegiate, and good neighbor passes can purchase single-day tickets for as many as 10 people at half price until Aug. 31, the release said.

Visitor passes — resident, student and annual passes — may not be purchased on the same day as single-day tickets to the Historic Area, according to the release.

While the “Bring a Friend” program is in place another program, “Pay for a Day” will be available until Oct. 31, the release said.

The program allows for visitors aged 50 and up to purchase passes, valid until the end of 2017, according to the release.

Visitors will need to present a valid form of identification with a birth date to receive the “Pay for a Day” discount.

Single-day tickets are sold for $40.99 for adults and $20.49 for children aged 6-12. Ticketed visitors have access to more than 40 historic sites as well as the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, the release said.

Discounted tickets can be purchased at the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center, the Lumber House Ticket Office, William Pitt Store and Merchants Square Ticket Office. No other discounts or promotions can be combined with the offers, according to the release.
