UPDATE: Lanes reopen after crash causes 4-mile backup on I-64

UPDATE: All eastbound travel lanes are back open after a crash near Lee Hall on Interstate 64, according to VDOT.

A two-mile backup remains.

A crash on Interstate 64 near Lee Hall has closed both eastbound lanes and created a four-mile backup, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred at mile marker 247 Sunday afternoon, VDOT said.

Traffic is moving past the crash on the shoulder, VDOT said.

Motorists should use an alternate route.
