NORFOLK — Police are investigating the death of a man found floating in the Chesapeake Bay near the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel on Sunday.
Police say 46-year-old Kevin Lee Thomas, of Ohio, was in Norfolk visiting family before his body was found around 10 a.m. by a kayaker floating near the HRBT.
Although his body was found in the Hampton portion of the Chesapeake Bay, the Norfolk Police Department took over the investigation of his death because he was last known to be staying in a hotel in the 400 block of W. Ocean View Avenue, according to the NPD.
Although police don’t suspect foul play, the case is classified as an undetermined death.
