NORFOLK — A teenager was injured in a drive-by shooting late Tuesday night, police said.
Police say a 17-year-old male was walking on Albert Avenue around 11:30 p.m. when someone inside of a car that pulled up began shooting.
The teenager was shot multiple times but was able to walk to a friend’s house on Sewells Point Road. After police were called, the teenager was brought to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He is expected to recover, police said.
Nobody else was injured in the shooting, however, a home in the 6600 block of Sewells Point Road was also hit by a stray bullet, police said.
Police have not released any information on the suspected shooter or a possible motive but say that it appears to be an isolated incident.
