VIRGINIA BEACH – In its 32nd year, the Hampton Roads Business Hall of Fame will add five more Virginians to its honorees, including Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

Created in 1985, the Hampton Roads Business Hall of Fame selects people whose business innovations and community involvement have greatly impacted the Hampton Roads area.

“This year’s selection committee has chosen the laureates based on business excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring leadership, community impact, role model conduct, local influence and enduring legacy,” said Brad Salter, Business Hall of Fame Event Chairman in a news release.

This year’s honorees join more than 90 men and women who have earned their place in the hall of fame.

Four local business leaders will join Gov. McAuliffe in the induction, including Helen E. Dragas, president and CEO of The Dragas Company, Mark Dreyfus, president of ECPI, John F. Reinhart, CEO and executive director of The Port of Virginia and Bruce Thompson, CEO of Goldkey | PHR.

A ceremony was held Thursday evening at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
