VIRGINIA BEACH — Pavement work on a Holland Road northbound lane from Dam Neck Road to Nimmo Parkway will impact several neighborhood entrances for the next few weeks.

The Holland Road connection project’s paving work begins Monday, March 20 under flagging operations, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation news release.

The neighborhood entrances listed below are expected to be impacted over the weeks, according to the release.

  • Parkside Green neighborhood on Saville Garden Way
  • Greenwood neighborhood on Chestnut Oak Way
  • Holland Oaks neighborhood on Sugar Maple Drive
  • Holland Pines neighborhood on Chestwood Drive

Only one neighborhood will be impacted at a time.

VDOT reminds motorists traveling in this corridor that a temporary 35 miles per hour speed limit is still enforced as construction continues.

The Holland Road connection project aims to increase capacity, safety and reduce travel delays by adding additional lanes in each direction, according to VDOT’s website.
