There is a chance for some snow showers Saturday night and into Sunday in the Historic Triangle.
“It’s still questionable how far north the snow gets,” said Meteorologist Mike Rusnak with the National Weather Service’s Wakefield office. “I would think there would be snow flurries or a dusting.”
Rusnak said there is a slight chance for snow, and the NWS forecast lists a 20 percent chance of snow Saturday night after 1 a.m. and 30 percent chance into the lunchtime hours Sunday.
However, Rusnak said that there will likely be little if any accumulation—likely less than an inch. With the snow falling on a weekend and a low likelihood of accumulation, Rusnak said he thinks it will be unlikely to inconvenience area residents.
“I don’t really see this to be a big impact event at all,” Rusnak said.
