A man wanted for murder has been arrested by the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
Frederick Gaestel, a suspect wanted for murder in Mendocino County, Calif., was captured Friday morning, YPSO said in a release.
At approximately midnight Friday, the YPSO received a tip that Gaestel was staying at a vacant house on the 1200 block of Oriana Road in York County, near Harwoods Mill Reservoir.
Deputies and the Emergency Response Team created a perimeter around the residence. Gaestel reportedly surrendered without incident.
YPSO reported that Mendocino County detectives have been notified.
