Photos: Winter storm blankets Historic Triangle in snow

"We've been open for five years now and never missed a day due to weather we are proud to be here for the community and first responders that are always out there in any condition we have the best staff and the most loyal employees that are willing to come to work at all times I even have a big four-wheel-drive truck and will go pick up any of those who cannot make it, we appreciate our community support and feel like it is our duty to provide them a place to have a nice warm meal and a friendly smile." The total snowfall from the first major winter storm of the season topped out at just over a foot in some areas of Williamsburg.

Residents from all across the Peninsula submitted photographs from their snow day to WYDaily. Here is a collection of some of our favorites. If you have a photo you would like to submit, send it to us at photos@wydaily.com.
