Shots were fired outside a Williamsburg Walmart late Thursday night after a fight broke out between two groups of men, police say.
According to a news release from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 11:50 p.m. deputies from the Virginia State Police, York and James City counties responded to a call of shots fired at a Walmart located on Rochambeau Drive in the Williamsburg area of York County.
“Upon investigating,” the release stated. “It appears that two separate groups of males began arguing, and at one point some shots were fired between the groups.”
There are no reported injuries from the fight, police said.
Authorities are asking the public’s assistance in the ongoing investigation. The only vehicle description police had at 8 a.m. Friday was a late model silver Chevy Impala.
