The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a man they believe broke into a home and assaulted a woman in her sleep.
Police responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Old Williamsburg Road for a report of a sexual assault, according to a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
After investigation, police determined a man, believed to be Justin Harris, entered the home while the woman was asleep then sexually assaulted her, police said.
There are active warrants out for Harris’ arrest, police said.
Harris is 28 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, about 185 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
He has ties to York County and Gloucester, police said.
