The Senior Center of York has a diverse lineup of educational and entertainment programs on its newly announced schedule for the month of October.
In a lead-up to its 25th anniversary celebration on Nov. 4, the center’s upcoming program calendar is filled with everything from driver safety training sessions and a variety of art classes to history programs and health-related programs, including Medicare updates, flu shot registration and a chronic disease self-management workshop.
Participation in all Senior Center programs is open to people age 55 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. But reservations are required.
Reservations for all programs are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, stop by the Senior Center or call 890-3444.
The Senior Center of York is located in the Washington Square Shopping Center at 5314 George Washington Memorial Highway (Rte. 17). It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but is closed on all county holidays.
