Pokémon Go fans have to wait another week before converging on downtown Norfolk for a special party and “raid.”
The City of Norfolk has postponed the Pokémon event it had scheduled for tonight, according to the city’s website. The party will now take place on August 3, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. All other details are unchanged.
Known as the Downtown Norfolk Pokémon Raid and Party on the Plaza, the event will feature “the rarest of Pokémon,” according to an earlier release. Participants will check in at Town Point Park and get a “raid map.” From there, they will follow a route through downtown, ending at the Scope Arena. Along the way, there will be landmarks such as the USS Wisconsin and the Pagoda.
More information about the Pokémon event is available on the city’s website.
