Grab your acoustic instrument and head over to New Quarter Park Wednesday for “Moonlight and Music,” a round-robin music jam under the stars.

Local musician Joe Duggan of Joe’s Day Off – a Williamsburg-based band known for its covers of country, rock, standards and oldies on a variety of instruments – will lead a jam session every fourth Wednesday of the month from May through September.

Musicians of all skill levels are invited to bring their guitars, fiddles, harmonicas, drums, dulcimers, voices and other acoustic instruments to York County’s New Quarter Park, located at 1000 Lakeshead Drive.

Musicians will congregate in the park’s picnic shelter area, where they will participate in round-robin style jamming from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Listeners also are also welcome.

Each jam session is free and open to the public; participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
