Lokal, a new restaurant in Williamsburg featuring locally sourced meals and drinks, celebrated its grand opening Friday with a morning ribbon cutting ceremony.

The shop, at 445 Prince George Street, also features a sitting area and a yoga studio in the basement.

In an interview with WYDaily last month, owner Eric Christenson said he took over the former Berry Body last May with the goal of transforming it into Lokal.

Lokal serves sandwiches, soup, salad, gelato and smoothies that contain at least one locally sourced ingredient.

The basement studio, Praktice, offers yoga and holistic movement classes.
