Kilwins Chocolates and Ice Cream in Williamsburg will be celebrating its grand opening next week with an all-day celebration.

The Williamsburg Kilwins, located at 421 Prince George St., will host a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, April 8. It formally opened under the new ownership of Chad and Laurel Salecker and Nick and Molly Pastermack in October.

Kilwins specializes in hand-crafted caramels, chocolates, candy, ice cream and other confections. The store also makes hot chocolate, lattes and other beverages.

The Kilwins on Prince George Street is the first Kilwins located in Williamsburg since a previous franchise location on High Street closed its doors in 2012.

With the store now fully operational, Kilwins is ready to show off everything the store has to offer.

The grand opening celebration, which will feature special promotions available throughout the weekend, will feature giveaways every hour, music and entertainment, a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. and an appearance by the Kilwins moose mascot.
