An investment firm based in upstate New York has purchased four self-storage properties, including Sentry Self Storage located at 5393 Mooretown Road in Williamsburg.
The firm, Prime Group Acquisitions LLC, which operates self-storage facilities as Prime Storage Group, completed the purchase of Sentry Self Storage, as well as self-storage properties in Chesapeake, Newport News and White Stone for a total price of $11,975,000 on Jan. 27.
The purchased facilities comprise 1,350 climate and non-climate controlled units totaling 172,012 square feet. The sale was brokered by Fred Paris and Monty Spencer of Mid-Atlantic Commercial.
Paris said customers of Sentry Self Storage should not encounter any major changes because of the sale.
Prime Group Acquisitions own about 90 self-storage properties in the Eastern U.S. and is working to acquire more properties across the country.
The firm also owns Williamsburg Storage, Prime Self Storage and Climatrol Self Storage in Williamsburg.
