Fifteen students from Williamsburg-James City County and York County public schools will represent the Peninsula with their art projects when they compete at the state level of the PTA Reflections contest this year.
The WJCC PTA Council and the YCSD PTA Council selected student submissions to represent each school division at the Peninsula district regional level. Projects that were recognized as an “Outstanding Interpretation,” the highest award at the regional level, will move on to the state contest.
The PTA Reflections contest is a national initiative founded in 1969 that encourages students to express themselves through the arts and be rewarded for their effort. The theme of this year’s contest was “Let Your Imagination Fly.”
